The Blanket Orchestra was founded by lead guitarist, Tony Frye. He wanted to assemble a group that could adapt to any type of gig whether it was a three piece chamber group for a wedding ceremony or a 10 piece funk band for a block party.
Each member of the band comes with years of professional performing experience in other bands, theater pits, and orchestras, and between them they've played just about every type of gig imaginable.
Tony has been performing professionally for over 20 years on several instruments including guitar, bass, and trombone. His discography outside of The Blanket Orchestra includes several singles and two full length albums including a children's album that charted on the Google Play charts.
He has been a part of over 100 theatrical productions and has played with members of Tower of Power, Huey Lewis and the News, and the cast of Glee.
